Job Summary 

OmniPro is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified professional to join an established team. 

The main purpose of this role is to provide day-to-day support to the finance team. The key areas of responsibility will include maintaining ledgers, assisting customers, handling payments, invoicing, reconciliations and assistance with month end reporting.  

The Role: 

Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will involve: 

      • Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable -account maintenance, reconciliation and payments 
      • Processing of sales invoices and credit notes
      • Dealing with customer and supplier queries that may arise
      • Monitor the general accounts email for supplier queries and responding to same
      • Posting cash receipts and preparing bank lodgements
      • Manging direct debit mandates and processing direct debit collections
      • Bankand credit card reconciliations
      • Completion & filing of VAT & other returns using ROS
      • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and production of monthly reports
      • Assisting with producing the annual audit file
      • Additional administration tasks in line with business requirements

Requirements:

        • Accounting Technician qualification desirable
        • At least 2-3 years similar experience in a finance function 
        • Excellent IT skills – high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite packages including Office 365 
        • Experience with Xero, and Salesforce, desirable 
        • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage and meet deadlines 
        • Ability to work as part of a team and also on own initiative
        • Excellent attention to detail 
        • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
        • Motivated, self-starter with enthusiasm and pro-active approach 

The candidate will be joining a small dynamic team, in a fast-moving growing business and friendly environment where speed and efficiency are key. The role is self-directed and requires the candidate to adhere to strict deadlines without need for continuous oversight, so time management and organisation skills will be called upon.
